Brilliant - Got to the estuary to find absolute chaos, all the people who came out for the sunshine couldn't get to the beach because there was a bit of sand on the road. Eventualy they got out of the way.

The wind was there but not massive, so Sarah and I rigged up our 6.4 sails, Al was going with a 5.7 but I couldn't see why. We took a bit of time to get our act together (1st sail this year), and by then the wind had picked up, but I could manage (just), but it got stonger and stonger as we sailed. I learned a lot about sailing overpowered today. I couldn't make my gybes or waterstarts and it was difficult to get settled, but I really enjoyed it, and my hands and arms are now really sore.

Sarah has had an early night as she is knackered by the experience, but she sailed brilliantly, (remember she was on a 6.4).

I've just sat down and watched the football (Arsenal lost and ManU won - a fantastic end to a super day).

I wish I'd had a smaller sail as I would have had a more comfortable sail, but I enjoyed it.
